The denim fit guide
The need-to-know shapes for 2018
From the new high-rise to the everyday indigo, these are the four jean styles we’ve fallen head-over-heels for, for 2018.
The oh-so-relaxed fit
The easiest jeans to wear? A pair of girlfriends, of course. An on-the waist cut plus a loose-on-the-thigh fit means that these jeans will be your new hero for 2018. Boss weekend dressing by teaming yours with a standout scarlet knit and a pair of polished Chelsea boots.
The super-high rise
Sitting higher on the waist than your average denim, these slim-fit jeans are ideal for everyday wear. Not only are they ultra-comfy, they’re super-flattering too – great for all-day shopping trips, long evenings down the local, date night and more. Try with a Breton stripe tee and a pair of embroidered loafers for instant Parisian-inspired style. Polish off with this season’s must-be-seen-in hat – the beret – for an added dose of chic.
The fully fitted
With their figure-hugging spray-on fit, these jeggings will be your bottom half’s new best friend. In a very-nearly-black dark indigo wash, they’ll give the instant legs-for-days effect. Wear simply with some leopard skater shoes or create the illusion of even longer pins with a pair of slick high-heeled ankle boots.
The everyday jeans
In our books, blue denim will never be boring. In a paler shade of indigo, these mid-rise skinnies will work just as well for the office as they will off-duty. Team with your go-to striped tee, a tailored blazer and some sleek ankle boots for effortless smart-casual style.
