The key pieces you should be wrapping up in this season
Winter’s well underway and while we may not be fans of the unpredictable weather, we are seriously excited at the prospect of a new coat. Let’s face it, it’s an item that gets a lot of wear so it has to be one that you’ll love putting on. Whether it’s fancy and formal outerwear you need or your look’s all about the comfort, these are the key styles you should be seen in this season.
The long puffer
Warm and practical but still serving up tons of attitude, this long yellow puffer is guaranteed to put a pep in your step (even on the most miserable of days). The black faux fur hood gives it a plush touch that makes it totally evening-appropriate too. Pair with some chunky black boots, monochrome trousers and a clashing autumnal knit for a cosy-yet-cool look.
The quilted shacket
When it’s cold outside but your commute won’t allow for a proper winter coat, the shacket is your outerwear answer. Wear alone over a grey t shirt on milder days, or layer up with a relaxed knitted cardigan and polo t-shirt when it’s a bit chilly. The light padding will keep you warm without looking bulky over jumpers, no matter how many layers the cold has got you wearing underneath.
The embroidered blazer
Tapestry prints and embroidered fabrics are a must this autumn and winter. Play on Grandma-glam and wear with a bright oversized pussy-bow shirt and some statement wide leg trousers to bring whole new proportions to power dressing.
The khaki overcoat
This one’s a classic all-rounder for smartening up any outfit. The longline fit of this overcoat is timeless, and the khaki shade is great for jazzing up dull office wardrobes that are a sea of black and navy. Chuck on over your weekday uniform and brighten up a casual suit, or dress up your weekend denim with a relaxed shirt, some smart desert boots and a knotted scarf.
