Gok’s workwear style equations
Tu’s style ambassador shows us how to style up two must-wear double acts
Looking to zhoosh up your workwear wardrobe? Or maybe you want to work a new season print into it, but not sure how? Fear not. We caught up with our go-to fashion maven, Gok Wan to see which outfit combos he’s championing right now. Word has it pattern + plain = a seriously chic workwear combination.
We call it the 9-9
Whether you’ve got an all-important presentation coming up, or have just pencilled some last-minute desk-to-dinner drinks in your diary, this is the look for you. Our 70s-inspired zig-zag pattern skirt with stud detail speaks for itself, so pair it with a classic white blouse for an ideal in-between-weather outfit. Finish off with a pair of dogtooth loafers for an added dose of polish.
It’s all in the layers
Red and green, should never be seen? It’s time to break the rules. No longer reserved for dodgy Christmas fancy dress, this is the colour pairing to be seen in right now. The trick to making it work: avoid hues on the brighter end of the colour wheel and stick to muted tones instead. Cue: the textured cranberry shift dress with a bateau neckline and statement patch pockets. Although it looks smart as a solo piece, Gok is doing things differently and styling it over a khaki frill turtleneck. Just add a pair of tan riding boots for easy office style that will take you well into the winter months.
