Trend Update: Sorbet shades and Pastel Hues

Subtle hints or full-block pastels — whatever your preference, we explore this season’s key trend

Sorbet shades stole the show at London fashion Week SS19 and they’ve shown they’re here to stay through AW19, with designers giving ice-cream hues a well-needed rejuvenation on the catwalk.

Since the Scandi’s know best, we looked to stylist Emili Sindlev to see just how this trend translates to everyday wear. Think: a 99 flake from your neighbourhood ice cream van—drop the sprinkles, add white leather boots and a thick curb chain.

Here’s how to rock pastel hues in Tu Clothing this Spring:

Layer monochromatic pastel shades with contrasting textures. Pink Cord Shirt £18, Seersucker Strip Shirt £18.

A subtle pop with soft knits in sugary shades. Colour Block Jumper £28.

A lilac two-piece – spring’s answer to power dressing. Jacket and trousers, coming soon.
